The newest member of Royal Kona Coffee's Hawaii Chef Series is Master Chef Hiroyuki Sakai, better known in the United States as "Iron Chef French" from the popular Food Network television program "Iron Chef".
Master Chef Sakai's groundbreaking Japanese-French style incorporates Japan's finest cooking techniques while retaining the essence of traditional French cuisine. His dishes are often compared to paintings because of their exquisite detail and use of color, thus earning him the nickname "Delacroix of French cooking."
In addition to his restaurants, Master Chef Sakai has a successful line of baked goods and desserts that are available in department and convenience stores throughout Japan.
Master Chef Sakai joins the already impressive collection of Chefs in the Hawaii Chef Series: Sam Choy, Roy Yamaguchi and Russell Siu. For over a decade, these chefs have pioneered the Pacific Rim style of fine cuisine and casually elegant dining in Hawaii.
